REGISTRATION TERMS

Trip includes:

  • Transfers to/from Managua airport to San Juan del Sur
  • 5 nights at a private villa in San Juan del Sur
  • 5 dinners and 5 breakfasts
  • Daily morning and evening yoga sessions with dedicated instructor
  • 2 guided meditation sessions
  • Yoga mats and props for use
  • 1 group surf lesson
  • Half day excursion to Barrio La Planta community school (see p. 4)
  • 2 trip leads (trip guide and yoga instructor) available 24/7

Trip Does Not Include:

  • Airfare
  • Additional excursions and activities
  • Lunches
  • Required travel insurance

Cancellation Policy

We get that life happens, and we wish we could compensate for unforeseen circumstances, but we begin to incur costs the moment you book (if not before). Therefore, cancellations are 100% non-refundable. However, we do allow for last minute transfers of the same gender for a $150 admin fee. Please notify us immediately in the case of a transfer.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all trips with Traverse, and must cover injury, medical, evacuation, and repatriation as well as trip cancellation and trip interruption. Most insurance companies require purchase to be made within 2-3 weeks of booking for full benefits. Once insurance is obtained, a copy must be sent to Traverse. Failure to provide proof of insurance within 30 days before trip start will result in trip cancellation with no refund. We can recommend a travel agent to assist you with obtaining insurance, or you can choose from any carrier that meets our requirements.

Check in/Check out

Please plan to check in after 2 p.m. and by 11 a.m. on start/end of trip. If your arrival/departure times are before/after we will make our best effort to accommodate your needs but cannot promise early/late check-in/check out due to limitations with our accommodations.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Deposit

A $250 non-refundable deposit is required for each traveler to secure the booking.

Payment

Payments can be made either by 1) full payment on booking 2) $250 deposit on booking + payment schedule below. Payments will be invoiced via e-mail for credit card or Paypal payment online. To pay by check, please indicate on registration and make check payable to Traverse Travels and send to PO Box 40516, Austin, TX 78704.

Documents, Personal Identification, Vaccinations

Traveler is responsible for all required travel documents including passport, visas, entry or exit fees, and vaccinations. Traverse does not cover the cost or assist in obtaining any of the above, and reserves the right to collect information on all.

Incidentals

Any incidentals caused by traveler to the accommodations, transit providers, or any Traverse partners are at the traveler’s expense. Incidentals include but are not limited to damage or theft of property and any expenses charged to Traverse for these reasons will be billed to the traveler using the credit card provided.

Cancellation, Refunds and Transfers

Cancellations must be received in writing. A full refund of trip minus deposit can be given for cancellations 90 days prior to trip start date. No refunds will be given less than 90 days from trip start. We do allow for last minute transfers of the same gender for a $150 admin fee. Please notify us immediately in the case of a transfer.

Cancellation by Us

A minimum of eight (8) persons must join each Traverse trip in order for us to operate the trip. If spaces are not filled, and we cancel you are advised to utilize your required travel insurance for a refund. Traverse reserves the right to cancel for any reason including low bookings, force majeure, and adverse environmental or political circumstances beyond our control. Every effort will be made on the part of Traverse to a) not cancel b) should the trip be cancelled assist client to obtain refunds either through insurance, Traverse or by other means.

Limitations & Liabilities

To the extent permitted by law, you release Traverse (including owners, directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, partners, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your participation in the trip, package, activity you purchased through Traverse. You accept responsibility for your own actions and acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any children accompanying you. You acknowledge that your trip destination may be unfamiliar to you, and that you should be careful and prudent at all times. You are responsible for your own property and wellbeing, and you will not hold Traverse responsible for any losses or damages.

Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of the State of Texas and of the United States of America where applicable. Any disputes regarding these terms and conditions shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the State of Texas, United States of America.
