My journey to myself, and to Reset Retreat.

By Bianca Wakeford - October 29, 2014

What an incredible year and an amazing journey. A year ago I was successful and had some amazing achievements under my belt, but every time someone congratulated me, I felt guilty. Guilty for the fact that I was successful without making any sort of positive impact in anyone else’s life. Guilty for living the lie that I was happy with where I was. And guilty that I had so much to be thankful for and I just wasn’t happy or appreciative. I had no idea what to do to change my situation, and it was infinitely harder because I didn’t know what I wanted to do.

Almost one year ago today I spent an exhausting, emotional and incredibly long day looking at myself with the purpose of figuring out what I wanted. I left that day behind with my plan for life on a piece of paper and a promise to myself that I wouldn’t forget what I had learned about myself. My journey truly began on that day.

Fast forward to now. The majority of the goals that I had on that piece of paper were 3 year and 5 year goals. Remarkably, I have already achieved several of them!

One of the most important lessons that I have learned over this last year is that with intention (which I describe as being made up of careful deliberation, an executable plan, and a support system of people who understand what my goals are), just about anything can be achieved.

My passion is to share this with others so that they too can experience what life is like when you live with a greater self-awareness and sense of purpose. I feel like I finally know myself and know my purpose.

This is who I am. This is why I am here today with Reset Retreat.
