It’s summer! We can’t think of a better way to kick off the summer season than discovering new smoothie recipes to keep our taste buds happy and our bodies healthy. We asked health coach Laura Boglioli about her favorite summer smoothies.

3 Fast & Delicious Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are a great way to get in a few servings of fruit and veggies while feeling like you’re enjoying a real treat. It’s easy to get stuck in the same smoothie routine, so here are 3 nutrient packed smoothie recipies to help keep things fresh, exciting and delicious!

Creamy choco-avo smoothie

This recipe is filled with healthy monounsaturated fats from the avocado, and omega 3s, also a form of monounsaturated fat, from the hemp seeds. The cacao also provides iron and magnesium, both of which are imperative for women’s health. This smoothie also contains a good amount of potassium, iron, calcium, and vitamin c.

  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 3 tbsp Cacao or cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp Hemp seed
  • 8-12 oz almond milk

Directions: add everything into a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Start with 8 oz of almond milk and add more as needed until you reach the desired consistency.

This smoothie tastes so good you might feel like your drinking a chocolate milkshake, but without all the junky ingredients and sugar crash afterwards. You can add any other fruits and veggies you like to pack an even stronger nutritional punch!

Berries & cream smoothie

This recipe combines the tart & sweet flavor of berries with the rich creaminess of coconut milk for a smoothie you will want to make over and over again! You can use any combination of berries you have on hand, and you can use fresh or frozen berries, it tastes great either way.

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 12 oz Coconut milk

Directions: add everything into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

This smoothie has almost double the recommended daily amount of vitamin C and nearly 10 grams of fiber. Berries are high in antioxidants that help fight off free radical damage, such as anthocyanin, a potent flavonoid antioxidant found in blueberries. This is a perfect way to add some more of these anti aging, free radical fighters into your diet!

Tropical green chia smoothie

If you are still on the fence about trying a green smoothie this one will have you jumping off the fence and onto the green smoothie train after your first sip. The bright tropical flavors of mango, pineapple and orange juice coverup the flavor of the spinach. All you will taste is sweet, tropical goodness even though you are getting in a good dose of greens. Feel free to mix it up with whatever greens you have on hand, its also great with kale or dandelion greens.

This smoothie contains just over 100% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin a, over 300% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin c, nearly 25% of the recommended daily intake of potassium and almost 10 grams of fiber, making it a powerhouse of nutrition!

  • 1 cup Mango
  • 1 cup Pineapple
  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 12 oz Orange juice
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

Directions: add everything into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
